ABOUT US STEP-UP Solar is a nonprofit solar education and workforce organization based in Asbury Park, NJ. According to the 2023 Solar Census from IREC, skilled labor shortages continue to remain a top challenge for solar companies. STEP-UP seeks to build a pipeline of talent by offering training and education for young people and adults to prepare them for high quality jobs in the growing solar industry.

WORKFORCE TRAINING STEP-UP provides commercial and residential solar installation training in partnership with local nonprofits, community colleges, and workforce development organizations.

HIGH SCHOOL EDUCATION STEP-UP supports high school teachers with advanced professional development training, curriculum resources, and solar equipment for technical education classrooms. We also offer a virtual education series for students through our Green Ambassador Program.
